Owners — Subscription tier + billing
AO Master has four subscription tiers — Free / Basic / Pro / Max — that raise quotas across the system (member count, log retention, locker count, etc.). Tiers are bought with Gold, AO Master's internal currency.
Personal Gold vs guild Treasury
Two related-but-distinct balances:
- Personal Gold — yours, lives on your AO Master account. You buy Gold via Stripe (
#My Goldchannel under your home/channels/@me). - Guild Treasury — the pooled Gold members have deposited toward upgrading the guild. Lives on the
#Treasurychannel of each guild.
The flow: Personal Gold → Deposit to guild Treasury → Upgrade the guild's tier.
Buying personal Gold
- Open
/channels/@me→#My Gold. - Pick a Gold bundle (different sizes available, larger = better per-Gold rate).
- Pay via Stripe (credit card / Apple Pay / Google Pay).
- Gold lands instantly in your personal balance.
Personal Gold doesn't expire and isn't refundable.
Depositing to a guild
- In the guild, open
#Treasury(under GUILD in the sidebar). - Deposit Gold card → enter amount → confirm.
- Gold moves from your personal balance to the guild's Treasury pool.
Deposits are visible on the Treasury — every member can see the running total. Individual deposit history is in Settings → Audit Log (per-member donation transparency).
Upgrading a guild tier
On #Treasury → Upgrade Guild Tier section:
- Pick a target tier (Basic / Pro / Max).
- The card shows the Gold cost. Each tier lasts 30 days from activation.
- Click the tier card → Gold debits from the Treasury → tier activates immediately.
- Auto-renew when period ends toggle keeps the tier rolling automatically (deducting from the Treasury at the start of each new 30-day period).
Requires Manage Guild Billing permission. The action is audit-logged.
What tier gates
A summary table is on the #Treasury page itself — open it to see your current tier's quotas vs the next tier's. Some examples:
| Quota | Free | Basic | Pro | Max |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Members | 350 | 350 | 350 | 350 |
| Death events / day | 30 | 100 | 200 | ∞ |
| Death log retention | 7 days | 21 days | 60 days | 180 days |
| War roles | 4 | 8 | 16 | 32 |
| Locker groups | 5 | 10 | 20 | 40 |
| Lockers total | 50 | 100 | 200 | 350 |
| Cut-off tasks | 3 | 5 | 10 | ∞ |
| Audit log retention | 30 days | 60 days | 120 days | ∞ |
(Numbers above match QuickStart Demo's screenshot — the live Treasury page is the authoritative source.)
Downgrades + lapses
- Auto-renew off + period ends — guild drops to the previous tier. Existing data stays read-only where it would exceed the lower tier's quota.
- Manual downgrade — pick a lower tier from Treasury → debits Gold (each tier is independently billed). Data exceeding the new tier's quota goes read-only.
- Free tier doesn't cost Gold — but it has the strictest quotas.
Downgrading never deletes data. It just hides what's over the quota; re-upgrading restores access.
Refund policy
Personal Gold isn't refundable. If you accidentally bought too much Gold or upgraded the wrong guild, the Gold stays in your personal balance / the guild's Treasury for the next purchase.
