Owners — Tester program / community

AO Master ships continuously — most weeks have a release. Larger features go through a private testing phase before public rollout. Testers get early access in exchange for feedback.

How to become a tester

Join the support Discord: https://discord.gg/v2c25CN9B7.

In the Discord, request the Tester role in the appropriate channel (instructions pinned). Testers get:

  • Access to private-test channels where in-flight features get demoed + discussed.
  • Early-access enlist links to test guilds where the next release's features are live.
  • A reserved seat in pre-release feedback sessions on Discord voice.
  • Free Gold credits on your AO Master account as compensation for the time you spend testing.

What tester feedback looks like

We're looking for:

  • Bug reports — anything that breaks, looks wrong, performs poorly. Screenshots / steps to reproduce are gold.
  • Workflow critique — "this took 5 clicks when it should be 1" / "the labels here are confusing" / "I expected X but got Y".
  • Translation reviews — for testers fluent in non-English locales, spot-check translated strings + flag where context was lost.
  • Edge cases — every weird guild setup we don't have in QuickStart Demo helps us catch bugs we wouldn't otherwise find.

What we don't expect:

  • Code contributions (AO Master isn't open-source).
  • Time commitment beyond what you naturally use AO Master for anyway.

Compensation

Active testers (those who file feedback during a testing window) receive Gold credits sized to the testing window:

Testing window lengthGold reward
Short feature (1-2 weeks)10-30 Gold
Major feature (1+ month)30-100 Gold
Long-running betaCumulative

Gold lands in your personal AO Master Gold balance, usable on any guild you own. See Subscription tier + billing.

Community channels

The support Discord is the main hangout, but there are also:

  • Forum thread on the Albion Online official forum — promo + recruitment thread. Posted 2026-05-20.
  • Discord support channel#support in the AO Master Discord, where users help each other troubleshoot before staff steps in.

Reporting bugs without joining tester program

If you're not a tester but found a bug:

  • Support Discord #bug-reports — fastest. Drop a screenshot + repro steps.
  • GitHub issues — for developers who want to file detailed bug tickets.

We try to acknowledge every bug report within 24 hours.
