Settings → Enlists

The Enlists tab is where you create the invite links you share with people you want to recruit. Each link has its own short code, expiry, and usage counter. Open it from the Settings modal under ADMINISTRATION → Enlists.

Permissions

The tab requires Approve Enlist Members. Anyone with that permission can create links, prune expired ones, and review incoming applications on #Join Requests.

The list

Each row shows:

• Enlister — the staff who created the link, with avatar + display name.
• Enlistment code — the short alphanumeric handle. Shareable as https://ao-master.com/enlist/<code> (or via the Copy button on the right).
• Uses — how many people have joined through this link.
• Expires — relative time until the link stops working (or "Expired" with a red badge once it's past).
• Copy + Remove action buttons.

The Prune N expired button at the top mass-deletes expired rows so the table doesn't clutter up.

Creating a link

Click + Create Enlistment Link. The modal asks for:

• Expiry window — 1 hour / 1 day / 7 days / 30 days / never. Defaults to 7 days.
• Max uses — uncapped by default; pick a number for one-shot codes.

The new row appears at the top with a fresh code. Click Copy to copy the full link URL and share it wherever recruits hang out.

What applicants see

When someone visits /enlist/<code> they get a public-facing landing with your guild's name, icon, and a one-button Join action. If they're not signed in to AO Master, they're walked through sign-up first (see Sign up + verify email).

Approval flow after they join is on #Join Requests (gated on the same Approve Enlist Members permission). See Member enlist flow.

Discord-side enlist

If the bot is paired and the Discord Enlist pipeline is configured (Settings → Discord Integration page on #Discord Integration), applicants also get an [Enlist] button on a pinned message in the bot's enlist channel that walks them through the same flow on Discord. See Discord enlist flow.

Walked as demo01 (Owner of QuickStart Demo) on 2026-05-24 against commit 7dd04f1b. Screenshot shows 3 expired test links — your guild's actual list will look different. The "Enlister" column shows ทดสอบ (Thai for "test") because that's the display name on demo01's account.
