Owners — Guild Discovery directory

The Guild Discovery directory at /guild-discovery is AO Master's public guild browse page. Anyone (signed in or not) can browse + search guilds that have opted in.

To show up:

  1. Open Settings → Public Profile.
  2. Tick Open for recruitment.
  3. Set Visibility to Public — listed on Guild Discovery.

Both have to be on; Public alone without Open for recruitment doesn't list (Public + closed-recruitment is for guilds that want a shareable URL but aren't actively recruiting).

What the directory shows

Per guild card:

  • Guild icon + name.
  • Member count.
  • Founded date.
  • One-line description (from Settings → Guild Profile).
  • Region pill (ASIA / EU / NA).
  • Recruitment status pill.
  • Link to the full public profile.

Filters at the top:

  • Region — narrow to your server region.
  • Size — small / medium / large by member count.
  • Recently active — sort by latest activity timestamp.
  • Search — by guild name or description.

Why list

  • Free recruits — guildless players actively browse Discovery looking to join something.
  • Vetting tool — applicants check your public profile before applying, so the volume that hits your #Join Requests queue is more qualified.
  • Branding — show off your war roles, recent kills, banner. The public page is your shopfront.

When to un-list

  • You've hit your member cap.
  • You're rebuilding the public profile + don't want a half-broken page indexed.
  • The guild is invite-only by policy.

Switching Visibility back to Unlisted removes you from the directory immediately. The public page URL still works (existing links don't break), it just stops appearing in browse + search.

🚧 Skeleton release — most pages are placeholders. Content fills in section-by-section.
